With over 120,000 hectares (296,533 acres) of vineyards in Bordeaux, there is more diversity than homogeneity. Fortunately, bordeaux can easily be divided in to regions and sub regions that make the wines from the area easier to understand. While the most basic division is “Right Back versus Left Bank,” there is so much more to take into consideration.
